Would the potential kane purchase move in the nightlife direction?

im not sure what you are used too…but me and my family walked and taxi-ed ( i easily biked) to north hills quite a bit. and this was from near quail hollow road. the walks through that neighborhood were always pleasant to me. mature trees, sidewalks…just neighborhood streets.

Fwiw my understanding is that Hatem owns the building but Kane manages it.

I mean in the sense they’re pretty low density, so it’s not mathematically in range of many walkers, and even for those areas Six Forks is a miserable walking experience these days and lined with spread out offices with big surface parking lots. Totally agree they’re lovely neighborhoods for kids and families to, for example, walk/bike to a friend’s house.

Should have left all the roads/parking underground and make the top pedestrian only. As it is right now I hate the constant honking during the lunch time period with cars blocking the whole street to pickup their food orders. All the honking makes for a very unpleasurable experience when dining outdoors (although the midday heat is the primary cause now haha).

Really wondering who thought it would be a good idea to do this Northhills Target renovation at the same time as the Lassiter entrance is closed off.

I was there yesterday. The line just to get out of the Target garage/lot was terrible.

I made that mistake a few weeks ago. I won’t again! I’ll go to Garner down Hammond to Timber.

Solely Target as the expansion project has been rolling for almost a year and a half now. There have been numerous issues with deliveries taking longer than they should due to truck drivers honestly not really knowing how to navigate the traffic. This delays things a bit but it’s a work in progress. There are also hired traffic control personnel doing what they can to help move traffic along and it has gotten much better then at the very beginning. Just about one more month and this will be all in the past

That’s the best one! Never too crowded and super close to DT

With there being another one on the other side of garner I’m hoping eventually we can get an urban format mixed use development with a target in a mixed use development closer to downtown. Maybe around downtown South or so.

What about the one on Hillsborough Street?

Downtown south is a good idea

Yep. You just don’t get to hang out with the fancy people at North Hills.

Eh, those campus versions don’t really count

Not bad when you bike there.
I park up at Fitness Connection and walk down. I’ve seen the line of cars and it is too much to deal with.

That one isn’t too bad if you go while State is out; but, the selection isn’t that great.

The one on Hillsborough St isn’t too bad. I would use it as a replacement if it was closer to me. I’ll usually get my shampoo, toothpaste, paper towels and other household things like that there since it’s normally cheaper. While I’m already there, I’ll grab groceries as well. I wouldn’t mind picking up the stuff from Harris Teeter or Food Lion if it wasn’t so much more expensive. Although if the price differences aren’t too bad, then I’ll buy it at the grocery store.
