I walk to the one by State as part of my daily walking ritual. It has most of what I usually go to Target for.

The next phase of construction for the Innovation District/NH has started, or at least become more obvious with the tree clearing between 440 and St. Alban’s. I wonder if they’re planning to leave some of the trees to the right in this picture.

They will to let some roads have room. But some will be saved including the one on the far right.

Any update on how the construction of that Publix is going? Is there a sign out anywhere about when they’re planning to open? Been meaning to drive by but keep remembering only at the worst times.

The structure is built but it’s got a ways to go. I haven’t been able to find anything about expected opening. I’ll take a couple pictures tomorrow when I’m at work.

Triangle Food Blog reporting that Norse Brewing is expanding into a new space in Zebulon. What stuck out to me was they want to eventually expand into 10 locations throughout the Triangle. I know a couple weeks back we envisioned a local brewery going in the old, unoccupied World of Beer North Hills spot so maybe there’s hope in the future?

  • The Triangle Business Journal reported this week that a Wake County brewpub is ready to expand with a new concept. Norse Brewing Company, which opened in downtown Wake Forest in 2019 with its Nordic-themed décor and craft beer offerings, has purchased a building in downtown Zebulon at 120 N. Arendell Avenue which will house the first location of Norse Brewing Company Longhouse. They envision growing that concept to 10 locations throughout the Triangle. In addition, the Wake Forest location will enjoy an expansion of their kitchen and an addition of a traditional beer garden outside as well as more tank capacity. Visit Norse here.

Zebulon? OMG, we’re getting a downtown vibe out here in far Eastern Wake County. Now, if they have axe throwing, then sign me up!!

I’ve only had their brunch out there and it was delicious + their beer at festivals was great too

Took a few pics today after work. Not exactly ready to open anytime soon, but definitely come a long way in the last several months.

Ellis Walk in Durham

Sadly very uninteresting.

It’s not supposed to be interesting. It’s a grocery store strip mall plaza for a bunch of bland townhomes. But it’s directly across the street from where my work moved us, and I’m happy there’s not a complete void there between DT Durham and Brier Creek.

Also I think it’s called Ellis Crossing?

You’re right. The first townhome portion that came up is called Ellis Walk. So I guess each part of the neighborhood has a different end to Ellis

Unfortunately the Ferris wheel and rocket ship platform ideas were vetoed.

It’s pretty crazy seeing the impact these have up close.

And one of the Eastern poking out for good measure.

Credit to people complaining on NextDoor. Supposed to be 7 floors in total.
