Just got back from Korea and got me some Fucci real cheap, looks good as long as I don’t get caught in the rain.

Been a while since I’ve looked at the Site Review documents. Once I saw your post, I figured I’d take another look. Edited Please note the information below is not related to the Wade Park Hilton Plans.

It looks like the Pinnacle apartments are now going to be replaced with 402 units over 5 stories (4 buildings). The original apartment complex was 78 units over 2 stories.

That’s a different property, just to be clear.

Thanks. I’ll edit the post.

North Hills 40 story rezoning by Lassiter Mill Rd deferred again, with conditions that the building will be no taller than 37 stories and can’t start building until Jan 1, 2026. I have no faith the new Council will approve this. Sigh.

Blocked again, ehh okay uhm well I wish they gave the new council NIMBYs a final middle finger with this rezoning but. I guess not.

Will the new council be in place for the December 6 deferral?

However there will be a lot of development from proposals this councils approved this 2-year term that can last us over 2 years. I’m listening to Larry Helfant’s numbo jumbo about how Drnsity isn’t reasonable, but I don’t think they’ll reject all possible rezonings to 40 stories. And since most major downtown infills that needed development have been approved I think will be okay, That gives us the next 2 years unless it will fall on an odd number year to work hard on ousting all NIMBYs and expanding terms to 4 years.

The neighborhood has to sign off on it now which means it can either be a Talbots or a parking lot

Yes. This was the last meeting with the current council

Not necessarily there still a lot of development that was approved.

There is SOOOOO much that has been rezoned that it’s not even funny. Developers are set up through the end of the decade with rezoned opportunities that we’d be lucky to get projects that maximize them all.

Ik and these new council member (who will be short-termed) will realize if they dare to downzone everything they will be taken to court. So ima try to think this as a little grace period to re-emerging. We got Downtown South passed, increases our chances for MLB Major League Baseball and all they need is permit for that hopefully stadium suited for it. We have the towers for Extending Fayetteville street. Every infill of no development and no lots that has been vacant for years all redeveloped watch the next few years will be lit.

FWIW, I’m planning a group Density Raleigh and I plan for it to be a direct competition to Livable Raleigh. And if anything happens cause they’re were rumors about campaign violations by Mary A Black I already got my recall/ signatures list papers ready. Also a little of topic her fans have called me a disgrace to black people among other things I plan to publish in the coming days. I can’t say anything further, that may be a violation of this websites community guidelines.

This is really not going to be a thing, just to be clear. I don’t know how this got floated around but you’d need one of the holdovers from this council to go along to begin with, and it’s a legal nonstarter.
