Raleigh-area Mall / RTP Redevelopments

Village Tavern always a solid option… staple in Greensboro and WS for over 30 years,

Yup, I always enjoy the one here in Birminghams suburbs.
For what RH charges, the place out to be a palace.

Apparently they had some type of opening last night at RH. Vesper martini bar, according to Instagram.

I don’t think I’ll be allowed in that building.

I’ll lend you one of my knock-off Gucci shirts. You’ll fit right in. LOL

Undoubtedly they scan your credit score as you approach.
Anyone else remember when RH has a lot of cool small things? It was a holiday destination for us. I miss the old place, but this seems to be working for them. Clearly I am not a their demographic, most of my cars over 40 years were cheaper than one of their couches today. (Best deal? 1984 Volvo 240 DL, 150K for $1000. Put a 100k on it, sold it for $900!!)

I have never been in. Restoration Hardware, and likely never will, based on the pics above.

But I also had a Volvo 240. 1980 model year. “Bought” it from my folks for $500, traded it in about 5 years later and got $400 back.

I drive a 2012 Ford Escape, if anyone was interested.

Lots of Haterade being consumed on this forum. Restoration Hardware has solid furniture that lasts forever. When bought on sale, which is quite often, it is no more expensive than many other brands. Good customer service and delivery is basically free. Don’t hate-participate! You all had your Kimbrells downtown and let it close…:smirk::kissing::wink::smiling_face::blush:

Personally I’d rather have Crate&Barrel back.

I’m thinking glass houses and stones for some reason.

RH is a really nice, unique shopping experience that totally matches the North Hills vibe. It shouldn’t preclude a Crate & Barrel opening somewhere nearby.

Feels silly to be grumpy when our fancy luxury shopping area gets a legit high-end tenant with a beautiful new build-out.

I hope I didn’t come off grumpy, though I do miss the old RH’s merchandise mix, as I said they are clearly doing well. Agreed, this is a great addition to NH, and will probably do well. I don’t know how, but I am on their mailing list so get there 200 page catalogue 2x a year. At this act of my life, we are done furnishing a house.

Some more info from the Triangle Food Blog:

For those interested, their burger is $22 and does not come with fries, which are $10 extra (option of regular or sweet potato). The truffle fries are $20.

Yeah, I’m not, but thanks.

I’m sure we’ll go by some Saturday afternoon to get a drink and check out the space, mostly because it’s just unusual. I can’t see wanting to eat there. The price point for a full meal is like a special occasion place, which it isn’t. I’d rather go somewhere like Brodeto, which has way more interesting food.

Clearly they are charging you for the experience, not just the food.
