Why are y’all surprised it could’ve been us we didn’t get our acts together that what happens. I can only hope this serves as a lesson that Raleigh will be hungry MLB Raleigh. But this should be a punishment to us, because we could’ve had it and we didn’t. So I don’t blame them completely they may have had an advantage with a stadium and billionaire in place but if we weren’t so skeptical about a stadium and big change this wouldn’t have happened. And if we stopped having questions and thinking we should take care of everything like gentrification, and caring a little too much about black people who can see through the BS when whites especially white liberals mention gentrification (I’ll explain that later why we see through the BS), and this equitable growth crap, and “not all growth is good growth crap” maybe this wouldn’t have happened. Also you could blame Steve Malik for being a little weak instead of backing out when Tepper stepped in he could’ve and from what I heard continued talks with Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon they could’ve formed a more powerful bid. I confronted Malik on this question and he blocked me on twitter, so it’s our fault and it’s definitely a culture issue. Like I saw some of you guys on this forum saying “Go visit other big cities are like and you’ll understand and then why Raleigh is”. The fact is I’ve been to other big cities and there awesome especially for young people who also like Soccer. This isn’t even a city for younger people to hangout and enjoy except college students at NC State. No. One wants to live here nor celebrity. So you know theirs too much fragility and we have to let go of being comfortable and neighborhood views and the big city-ness y’all wanna still complain. It is what it is. P.S. I’m also a black man who liked MLS and Soccer in general.

No he’s probably right don’t be mad. Let this serve as a lesson.

Yeah, well, Raleigh had the largest Wegman’s opening of all time. So there!

I’m just amazed they were able to tear themselves away from riding the light rail up and down and up and down all day.

No doubt cemented by COVID changing openings from Sunday morning spectacles to muted Wednesday morning affairs with no fanfare.

Back to actual stadiums, it looks like the Hurricanes will play the Washington Capitals in the outdoor stadium series game next year at Carter Finley Stadium. No word yet on when they allow the general public to purchase tickets, but this is something I can’t miss.

Very sad!!! @GucciLittlePig and @JKK and other just put the tires emoji in my statement which you know this is true but you don’t want to admit it. Tomorrow will be a sad day for Raleigh!

What? Why? (extra characters)

Focus on the point… I’m sad and angry that Raleigh let’s this slip out of our hands. I’m also upset that you guys don’t seem to care about. The truth this is important we took a heavy L. On top of just the national syndications of the games all other home game will be blacked out of our area.

Aye man, say man…Let’s keep the black race discussions and rants off the public forums. Not only is this not the place for it, but these types of conversations need to be had within our communities amongst one another, not on an online forum full of other races/communities that could care less about our issues. It’s just counter-productive and a waste of your time and energy tbh. I feel where you coming from though honestly, but again…Not the time and place.

But the bottom line is we have to get uncomfortable if we want things I feel like no one on this forum seems to gives a :poop:. We can’t be hating Charlotte for all the right things they did.

As per my reply via private message: Cussing doesnt degrade people by promoting negative stereotypes.

Charlotte FC sellout on OTA national television.

I would give my kidney and soul for an MLS team, an IKEA, and rail transit. Why can’t we have nice things like Charlotte, the city that can do no wrong?

That what we’re trying to convey everyone on this forum Charlotte did everything right we haven’t because we’re to concerned about equity now some folks are lowkey calling me racist.

I didn’t put a tires emoji, I put the shh emoji because many of your posts are just incoherent rants that add nothing. I wish you’d stop. It has nothing to do with whatever point you’re trying to make. At least take the time to read what you write before you post it, and maybe people would take you a little more seriously.

Also, I want you to get two things through your head. 1, No one on here is a NIMBY because we’re not losing our minds about every random thing. 2, we aren’t developers or in government. We’re not stopping or preventing anything, which is what you keep implying.
