Going for the Zoolander look I guess lol. Honestly hope they didn’t waste money on some consultancy group to help come up with this jersey idea. Looks like they literally combined their two jerseys IMO
I am once again chiming in to say that I wish the Hurricanes would just abandon the BORING “hurricane” logo and stick with the Warning Flags on a Hockey stick as their MAIN team logo from now on. It’s just so much cooler and it’s not even close!
And possibly the worst angle on possibly the best possible view of downtown.
Are the Washington sweaters hoodies? Or buddy hugs as they call them on the Canadian parries.
Unfortunately they are not:
I saw this morning the Hurricanes will have different helmets and pants with logos (which is uncommon), that helps some, but still unbecoming for such a big game.
It’s very cool that Raleigh is getting an outdoor Stadium Series game, but I also don’t particularly care for the jerseys. They are not bad, but IMO not as good as our black ones with the flag logo, which I think are by far the best ones we have.
Lol I drove over Boylan Bridge when they were taking these. I was wondering what was going on
Looking better about a future soccer stadium because a new elected council member supports this project! Happy Happy!
ain’t holding my breath…I couldn’t believe when I saw there were folks advocating for expanding the convention center while the absence of a sports facility in the city center is probably one of our biggest gaps today…& one of the biggest boosters for new hotels…& then an expanded convention center.
It need to be home for Major league baseball.
Minor League Baseball is my first choice. Major League Baseball is my second choice. Soccer is my third choice.
just throwing my two cents and that’s all but I would totally support expanding the convention center… expanding the space will bring bigger conventions which will cause the hospitality industry(hotels, restaurants, bars) to get bigger and better. Bringing a sports venue to DT will need a private/public partnership and I heavily doubt high net-worth individuals would want to put their money into a sports venue without having a secure contract with a team(soccer, minor league baseball, basketball, etc.)
Just a thought but I definitely respect people’s opinions.
Now if we just had a team to put in it…
I’m all for having minor league soccer , The Courage, High School Sports, Shaw Football, Soccer Tournaments, Etc. My thoughts are Raleigh needs a downtown area sports stadium.
Major League Baseball Is the only clear choice. have the great opportunity we have the land no hurdles except if they want stadium funding publicly. But this would be a great corridor Downtown South to East End to the CC. Future looks bright.
How about a permanent outdoor hockey arena? The stadium series is commanding a huge amount of money. That would draw hockey fans all over.
Logistically a nightmare, but I can’t think of a sport that would draw more fans and money aside from the MLB. Tickets at Carter Finley are selling like NFL tickets. Even if it was 6-8 games a year, it would be a money printing machine.
It would require a lot of work to get the league and the team to accept it, but it would be the coolest experience in hockey.
What is Steve Malik waiting for Major League Baseball in Raleigh we have no hurdles. At least stadium or land wise. I will rant about this on the podcast.
Amen. What do Fayetteville, high Point, greensboro, winston-salem, kinston, asheville, & charlotte usa all have in common?
Yet the State Capitol can’t get a single stadium or arena downtown…
Meanwhile charlotte usa is planning to actually build a practice facility downtown for their crappy NBA team…
….& Raleigh still can’t get a minor league facility built downtown
This dead horse is now a pile of bone crumbs that you are continuing to bash away with a sledgehammer…
