Canada loves condo towers. For every 20 story tower Raleigh builds, some random town in Canada will build ten 35+ story condos.
Planning to visit Vancouver this summer finally. That place has so much high-rise residential downtown. Makes for an impressive skyline.
Big time oil money and cowboy culture, too. It’s the Houston of Canada (with a distinctive regional accent, to boot)
Right, their arena is the Saddle Dome, and the Stampede is one of the great rodeos of the world.
Banif, Lake Louise, YoHo, Galcier Parkway are all fantastic. Jasper is too, though they had a wicke fire this year that burned up a whole mess of it. This was our honeymoon trip, and it was epic. Everyone should see the Candian Rockies, and the Canadian peso and about 65 cents, the price is right.
Nice summary of RDUs international growth since Covid.
Sweet. Great news. Great little Island. Will be taking advantage of this flight. (Bermuda)
Haven’t flown much recently. What are typical wait times on a Monday morning for an 8:00 fligh? Dropping off my folks for a flight back home.
Like what time should you arrive?
Even if they’re in the regular security line 1.5 hours early is plenty. It’s never that bad
Went to Banff for a wedding in January - was very impressed with Calgary, Banff, and Canmore. Beautiful places, highly recommend. Definitely eat at Major Tom in Calgary if you go. Will probably start looking at a trip back in the next few years since the only downside (having to take a connecting flight) no longer exists!
some kind of weird mixture of the Durham and Raleigh skylines. Why not just one photo of Durham with it labeled and one of Raleigh labeled?
For equal billing all fonts should have been the same. Why place Durham in bold font.
Eh, Raleigh gets the big wolfpack mural as you exit. Durham can have that taste of 90s graphic design.
Except NC State pays a ton of money for that mural.
Even better for the city!
How about they have the right skyline over the right city name? Seems a simple choice.
They could update Durham’s photo to something that isn’t 10 years old at this point.
Let’s not make any assumptions. Maybe they are using a really powerful telephoto lens to create the illusion of proximity. Composite skylines for the win. Heck, why not toss in North Hills and the Tarheels belltower too.
- The font boldness is not consistent between the two cities
- The skylines are backward from how the area is written. The skylines are in Durham-Raleigh order.
- The skylines seem a bit stretched/elongated taller.
