Red Hat Amphitheater and Outdoor Music

I wonder how much of the new amphitheater will be site built, and how much of it will be built offsite and placed?

I really hope they do something with the other gravel lot behind the railroad tracks

drove by this project too and glad it was able to find a new home downtown. Winston Salem is building a new amphitheater downtown all privately funded.

Bad pictures taken at a bad time of day with that setting sun but South Street still looks like a street, dirt has moved, and a retaining wall has been built.

Not to be too glib on the day after Veterans day. But pouring one out tonight or our fallen comrade the South Street underpass. May it be in our hearts forever and always.

Red Hat posted a not so vague teaser about some kind of sign being assembled. Fingers crossed it’s not the :sign_of_the_horns:t3:hand from the renders, but seeing “thumb” scrawled on one of the pieces doesn’t give me much hope. If it is, I hope it at least looks cool.

I hadn’t seen this one though it’s not that detailed. Grabbed this from this article which talks about what we should expect from the new Red Hat construction this year.

https://www.newsobserver.com/news/business/real-estate-news/article313358191.html

Red Hat Amphitheater, the beloved music venue as we know it, will come to an end after the 2026 concert season, as Raleigh begins construction of a new amphitheater across Lenoir Street. The retaining wall is up, utility work has begun and, by spring, residents should start seeing the steel outline of the new Red Hat Amphitheater.
