An underpass that is being well used and isn’t sketchy. Some other areas of this are literally packed with people shopping and eating and just hanging out. Lovely area. Even the old industrial buildings and this train car have been repurposed.
sugggested names for the complex without using AI? the Central?
I was trying to post a link and couldn’t figure it out for the life of me. Lol. Anyway. It was a cool proposed Greenway in Durham.
A graffiti problem and a lot of prec’s?
It might not ever get built though
This is Vancouver. They have more cranes and under construction buildings of all sizes than I can count. They’re absolutely booming.
I went to two cities on opposite ends of the size spectrum that both would score well in a CityNerd video probably…
Burlington, VT
What a charming college town. Felt like the friendliest place on earth.
And Montreal
Should’ve brushed up on French a bit more but I still had a good time. Everything the urbanists are saying about it was true. Very impressive.
Montreal has one of the most impressive height-restricted skylines there are - even moreso than San Diego or Boston, IMO.
Who needs Rome, Venice, NYC, or Paris when you can just go to Vegas in 105 degree heat and walk along a giant stroad?
Here are some shots of The Sphere. The venue itself is an insane experience but the context of its location is horrible.
I have mostly videos from the concert, but I did manage to grab a still shot from time to time. What they can do inside that Sphere is spectacular and impossible to completely convey in photos and videos.
I am 100% on the same page with you, John. The Sphere (while it may not be convenient to get to) is an experience you HAVE to prioritize in your life. It doesn’t matter what show it is, the overall experience is just incredible and impossible to express in words, or even in a video. MUST SEE!
You went to see the Backstreet Boys? You’re full of surprises, sir.
In a luxury suite too. Surprise!
It’s a whole story I’ll have to tell you.
Even the Backstreet Boys?
Isn’t it on the monorail? I know Vegas isn’t walkable but they have an under utilized people mover that at least provides some alternative.
I’d be willing to bet even Nickelback would be, not bad, with a well developed show for The Sphere. I’d be really interested to hear from someone that went if it were to happen.
