It might have been in learning mode. We don’t have service yet in Miami Beach, but the Waymos are everywhere 24/7 learning their environment. From what I’ve seen, they seem to drive better than those with drivers. They don’t speed, make full stops at red-lights & stop signs, and use their signals. That’s more than I can say for the majority of drivers around here.

As someone whose name is a reference from Paranoid Android on this album, I never knew this but found it interesting.

As someone whose name is a reference from Paranoid Android… you should be ashamed not to have known that :face_with_steam_from_nose:

Update photo of the Waldorf Astoria in Miami. This is about 60% of its height of 1049 feet.

Wow how horrible that Miami will never see sunshine again.

That’s actually really an impressive building! Could you imagine that here??

People would lose their ever-loving minds if we had something like that proposed in Raleigh. Go wash your mouth out with soap

You can hardly see it for the shadow! I had to overexpose the photograph just so that y’all could see it!

The one thing to take away from Miami is speed of transformation. I’ve really never seen any place change as quickly as Miami does.

What a waste of resources building all that in a city that will be under water in a century. They should put some of those towers here instead.

Too bad I am not there to greet you at the station with a red carpet but alas I am down at the beach this weekend. Have fun in the QC!

It’s ok. We got to see 3 impressive things so far: a selfie stop at IKEA, the only Michelin star restaurant in the state (that is booked for 6 months), and a garage door screen to keep the bugs out of the brewery. Amazing!

Really enjoyed our little train trip to Charlotte. Definitely has that big city vibe. I’m happy living in Raleigh but I was very comfortable there. Random note, I saw almost no homeless people at all, which was a first for my Charlotte visits. Not sure the reason.

Highly recommend the South End and Midwood areas. We had great food and drinks and things to do, with lots of friendly people. Here’s a few random pics.

And one properly screened parking deck:
