Doesn’t matter there the headquarters if Raleigh wants to lure more companies and work with developers and chamber of commerce to promote the doesn’t of land rezoning of office and mixed used space.
First Citizens likes to own all of their real estate and has historically been very conservative when developing office space. I doubt that they are going to suddenly change their mind during one of the worst office downturns in recent times.
Not saying they don’t have to not own there property im saying maybe the city if FCB is trying to get out of Raleigh because of corporate space or something Raleigh should make offer and make suggestions.
Let’s bring this back on topic.

They didnt mind throwing in imported brass rails when they greeked out many of their branches in the mid 90s. different economy now perhpas.
Let hope
and pray that 2024 be the Year that these two towers or at least one of them becomes a reality and gets built.
That what suing why would the city council loud the developers to redone 27 stories not 40 stories I mentioned that what parking lots one two worth
I mean I like the color of the tower arts brown and if the hotel would paint by artist this would very nice
hints of international style?
40-story rezoning means they can build up to that many floors, it isn’t guaranteed the building will be 40 stories.
Two views from the north side and west side that I hadn’t seen shared yet…
And the previous images, not sure if these are updated or the same as before:
This looks awesome. Let’s hope no value engineering comes into play.
Hell no I like Omni at all even with parking garage
27 stories roughly from the render it looks like.
This would be roughly 350-375 feet in height???
It depends on the height of the first couple floors. At 27 stories, hotel roof heights are about 10ft, so at a minimum we are looking at 270+. It would be nice to have 300+ here.
Most likely 300 ft on the dot just like Durham’s 300’ 27 fl residential buildings.
I was thinking the same thing… probably near the same height as the FNB tower…
When you can, go to the top parking deck floor at Raleigh Duke Hospital that is close to the belt line. The night Raleigh skyline is super!
