It’s a grower, not a shower

Poking through from the Boylan bridge view. This will fill in a nice gap in the skyline.

This crane definitely raises up; they’ve staged five more pieces next to it already. I think the creamery crane is static and it’ll have to come down when the building reaches that height. Then they’ll use a different crane to finish.

Why is the crane growing more ?

Because it’s excited about the new hotel, just like us!

Love to see the hard evidence that this baby is only going to get taller as the building goes up :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I’m just noticing the Fayetteville street extension and it looks like the street paving is going to be all brick?

I feel the same way about the new epicenter, it looks out of place especially after Omni finishes, and not to mention it just makes Fayetteville street look locked in place or like it’s getting chocked, with the capitol building being in the opposite side from the epicenter and is blocking extra room that we could use for more density, and don’t get me started on the terrible entrance into the city, we need a closer highway, can’t believe Durham and Winston Salem have a proper highway to there downtown that gives a proper view of the skyline just like Charlotte does.

I agree that we need a better entrance from both the north and south, but I disagree that it should be a freeway. We just need an improved and masterplanned US401 corridor on both ends.

I’m so lost… what the hell is the “epicenter” ???

I know that there is/was a place in Charlotte named that.

I, too, am lost as to what exactly the epicenter is here.

Epicenter (noun)

  1. the point on the earth’s surface vertically above the focus of an earthquake.
    • the central point of something, typically a difficult or unpleasant situation:

@Cory Can you please elaborate?
