I totally agree. Those buildings are an eyesore. So short sighted not to see the possibility of a redevelopment of that area. Shadows and all. And this is coming from someone who has lived and survived a 20 story building and all the shadows that encompass maybe 15 minutes a day taking over my sun.
Itās odd to me to buy a home, on purpose, basically ON a train track⦠and then be upset about something like the height of an adjacent brand new, expensive and likely property value increasing building.
Except itās not really adjacent to the railroad. There are other plots of land adjacent and then West St., and the land in question is on the other side of the street.
true, but two of the main applicants live directly on the train tracks.
So I just meant that maybe Iām a minority in thinking that Iād much rather live next to a āhigh riseā than a train track⦠or more specifically that I like to think I wouldnāt have a problem with a āhigh riseā if I already lived directly next to a train track.
Imagine the horror of these people when they learn about the plan for the high speed S- line going through their backyard. Assuming it ever gets built.
Oh, I hope that I live to see that day. They will lose their minds. ![]()
I canāt wait for them to lose a total of almost $28K for nothing! ![]()

IT JUST DOESNāT MAKE SENSE!
Oh, I would LOVE to see the developers propose giant mirrors pointing toward Glenwood Brooklyn to solve their 15 minute shadow crisis and then see how theyād react. Iāll pop the
.
