Just imagine when our grand children young teenagers ask why does Raleigh don’t have football or scores stadium this includes people form over the world?

Football is college for us Pedro, soccer was for us until it was stolen. Baseball is out only shot you know I want you on my podcast when it launches sometime this month or next month.
Wish their would be more bars and nightclubs that signed tenancy there. It would make the block very vibrant.
Finally a downtown spot for me to get my luxury hair, while also getting those thick eyebrows and fake lashes all the boys have been clamoring for.
Yeah whatever, no need to spend Friday night there.
Got to take a peep inside Midwood Smokehouse today, coming together nicely. Still a bit to go, but I could see them being ready by the end of the month.
Personally, I think all these places will do well when the space gets more well activated.
J Lights needs to improve their menu though - it could very easily be an every week spot for Glenwood residents but every time I go in there I walk out because the lunch menu is lacking. Breakfast one is decent, but it’s not available for brunch-like hours.
Biggest thing Smoky Hollow needs is a good place for The Line and Peace residents to take their dogs for the bathroom and/or a conserted effort to maintain those flower beds all around the property. They are all covered in dog droppings and it smells awful.
If the tragedy of the commons problem with residents not picking up after themselves doesn’t get fixed, Kane needs someone out there every 1-2 weeks scooping it up and laying fresh mulch or something.
Yeah, I could use an expensive eyebrow job.
Are you sure it’s all from dogs? I know @OakCityDylan lives over there. Just saying…
Yeah humans might take advantage of that privilege.
Yeah, and then increase rent by 20% to make up the difference… HELL NO, people need to take responsibility for themselves. Kane has the resources that he could hire one of those Doggy Doo DNA testing companies to come out and FINE any residents who’s dog shit they find left outside. I think apartment complexes will fine residents like $100 each infraction, which would hopefully make up for the cost of hiring such a company. Of course, this would require that all residents with pets provide a DNA sample for their database. Don’t like it? DON’T LIVE THERE.
The Elan used to do that. I don’t think I ever heard of anyone getting caught or fined. It was an annoying fee but then no clear follow through.
That’ll be just too expensive to make everyone Dog have DNA test, I think the city should just build one instead. You know dogs do whatever they please residents would get annoyed over the fines.
Back on track, a dog walk area would be great for SmoHo. What’s interesting is the Peace St apts (Phase 1) have a really nice astro turf area in front of the leasing office but they specifically ask that dogs don’t use that. I believe there are even sprinklers that cover that area to wash it off. I think the smell got too much (from #1).
The smell that last part is a turnoff for folks.
Too right - I just don’t get how you can be a dog owner and not clean up after your pooch, it is simple ethics and neighborly behavior. They make poop bag dispensers that hook on to leashes for gosh sakes.
Problem with the Doggy Doo DNA thing for that area is that more people than just the apartment residents will be walking dogs in the area. DNA tests cost a lot of money, and if the poop is for a non-resident, then the fines for the ones that do live there will have to end up going up.
The cheapest option for both residents and the apartment would be to have some sort of groundskeeper that had scooping da poop as part of their responsibilities.
