If this parking deck means them selling off the other parking lots around the area, that would be fantastic.
At the state fair, I think Howling Cow is sold by the student dairy club or a similar student organization.
I donât believe weâve seen any renders yet!
They were going to release renderings, but they didnât want you to be disappointed later.
It was going to be 38 stories, but they have reduced it to 5.
Itâs like a 6 or 7 story glass thing if I remember correctly but idk if thatâs public or not.
I donât know what itâs been on other projects but it seems like the fact that the signage has âNorth Carolina General Assemblyâ rather than the whole state or Department of Education kinda gives the game away here. Maybe Iâm just imputing bad intent because the legislature has been openly flouting their disregard for everyone, but hey, whatareyagonnado
Thanks for sharingâŚ
One thing that stood out to me here is that there will not be any ground-floor retail/restaurants/private offices - disappointing as I think that could help grow this part of town and build connections between Seaboard Station and Downtown proper
Thatâs fine, say it again!!! Itâs stupid and shortsighted and doesnât maximize density and use of the land.
Paul Coble was the mayor of the whole city and doesnât understand the concept of âleasingâ.
Or, more likely, he dances to Phil Bergerâs tune and Phil actively hates Raleigh
Thereâs a boom crane going up on site
For anyone that would like to see the site plan, it is posted on the cityâs development portal under permit PU-006572-2024
So is the Assembly really just going to build this thing without releasing any information?
No. They only want teachers to make their every move public and online. That doesnât apply to them.
The site is pretty active. We need pictures, people! I plan to swing by this weekend and snap some.
