I would have thought they would try to get it done before the last IBMA festival in September! :person_shrugging:

With the Holiday Inn not taking reservations past end of September, it sounds like downtown Raleigh will have a net gain of 0 hotels for the time being…

The building progress is going fairly great. got some insight as far as competition is within 2-3 months. city is giving push back on certain scopes of work. parking is being cleaned now.

While it’s kinda “blah” now, I have the feeling it will sit in much nicer (as in, inoffensive added density) once it’s surrounded by towers: Nash Sq tower (if that ever actually happens), and Firestone lot most likely before anything else - then the empty parking lots along McDowell.
