Yeah I mean to make my post sound more tongue-in-cheek then forgot while I was trying to figure out how to embed the post image.
still on their webpage and they have started their Nashville tower but not the one in Charlotte.

The Charlotte project is still in the development phase.
Yeah this is 100% vaporware. They donât have real backing. Most likely speculative land play that they will eventually sell to someone else. I wouldnât consider this a serious proposal at all. Also I donât really think anyone would put something like this up across from Moore Square.
They have started their Nashville and Phoenix projects. I think both Raleigh and Charlotte will happen but interest rates need to come down first. They do not look to be selling any of their properties they bought just slowed down their construction.
I agree that it may not happen. But, why donât you think someone would build a project such as that next to Moore Square? Just curious.

This project is located next door to the most popular family museum in NC and 2 blocks from Oakwood and across the street from existing condos and several churches. I think itâs a great location.
Exactly. Also the closest residential tower to the Science and History Museums.
I know I love to visit many churches when Iâm downtownâŚ.![]()
Come visit my church next time you and the penguin are around on Sunday. Bonus snacks after church.
I am guessing the Vela Longview project is either dead or tabled indefinitely. The one in Charlotte (Vela Uptown) is apparently still in planning/pre-construction phase and the developer had actually requested additional height for the building. Apparently, market conditions arenât good enough yet for the developer. I was looking forward to this going up and adding some nice height to that part of the skyline. Hopefully the project isnât cancelled. Since itâs been a while since weâve posted on this, here is a refresh:
