Agreed that’s nuts. Someone’s going to plunk down millions to live on a busy street corner.
Not me, unless I am 15 or 20 stories above the traffic.
Agreed, but if different developers were to do similar projects on neighboring lots, you’d still end up with a pretty eclectic neighborhood.
Shake Shack coming to Cameron Village?
Talk about a buried lede!!!
According the Goodnights article, it’s a thing.
It’s just like other burger places, but more expensive!
Never understood the hype around SS, but happy for more options for people.
Looks like it’s going in the Mattress Firm space.
I just ate at the Shake Shack in Boston this weekend and it’s great. It’s not any more expensive than Burgerfi and a solid choice. The only thing it’s missing for me are onion rings.
You are correct. They really aren’t any more expensive than other upscale fast food burger joints. I also think that they are good, but I am not sure that I like them any better than Five Guys
I went in to a Five Guys and thought the food was terrible. Maybe just a bad day or location, but have never gone into another one. Why over pay for bad food.
Five Guys wins hands down on delicious greasy burgers.
I don’t know that I have ever had a truly bad experience with 5Guys. Sorry to hear that yours was horrible.
Five Guys is so greasy it requires a very high level of hunger, but if you’re at that level it’s perfect.
On a normal day In-n-Out/Whataburger/Char Grill is more the move depending on current location.
True! Last time I walked in I felt like I was going to slip on the floor grease.
I’m partial to BurgerFi. I usually get their veggie burger and add bacon. Both are really good. And they have beer. If Char Grill ever closes by Bloc83, I hope BurgerFi comes into one of the retail spots.
I ate at 5 guys once years ago. It wasn’t bad, but I just didn’t see what all the hype was about.
Man, people really have OPINIONS about fast food burgers. I’m on another board that is good for a 2 day derail from any topic once fast food burgers start getting debated.
Sorry for the crappy phone pictures, but looks like the demolition of the townhouses by Village District has started.
It has definitely “started”……
