Just from driving by, I’m a fan of those townhomes. Would love to see a lot more of them around town.
Earlier I was driving by the rows of banks on Clark and was thinking Clark would be so much better lined with these exact townhouses instead of dealing with anxious people whipping in and out of bank drive throughs.
Yep. Drive by them daily. Now if we could just come back east some and replace those banks…
But were you wearing a beret? Or carrying a bagette?
Is that a baguette under your beret, or …
I’m not as worried about the banks but would love to bury the power lines, widen the sidewalks and add dedicated bike lanes and repave the road all the way from Cameron Village to Person Street.
I’d like to see the buried all the way to Brooks Ave. as well!
Here’s the ugly ass renders of what WakeMed is doing on the old PO lot. The old PO was a cool looking building and could’ve looked super modern with a simple reno. This just sucks. Incredibly vanilla, oh and more bricks. Awesome
Wow just went by there a few hours ago to check out what the fence renderings showed. I think it’ll be fine. I hated that old building but you’re probably right that a good reno would’ve made it look pretty cool.
You’re getting dedicated bike lanes in front of Smokey Hollow.
Also, yes, it requires a baguette
Not sure if this counts as Cameron Village but looks like The View Condos by the NCSU bell tower is not dead. 5 stories, 34 condos. Alternative design paper was filed.
Foux du fa fa tre bien.
Still from 2 years ago. I think the city just reorganized the website which triggered the notifications.
Smoky
Never gets old.
Yes. Affirmative.
Where’s the appearance commission when you need them???
Is it just me, or is that ugly?
I know, we tend to be super-critical of design here, but jimminy jasper how does something age well when its a** ugly to start.
It might be ok in an urban setting…there is stuff like this in say, Portland OR. But in this very suburban feeling street, it’ll feel out of place I think.
