Village District Developments

Typically yes for accessibility reasons there will be an interior corridor for a unit entrance. There is well know architect out of Texas Humphrey’s that has a prototype without an interior corridor:

That be it! Feel free to share around! We dropped the price a bit to try to get someone in sooner rather than later.

That is a very creative design. However, all the corridors and stairways inside the units do take up a lot of space to enable access to every part of the building except the ground floor.

Single-stair is The Way™ for efficient floor plates, especially for units larger than one-bedroom.

Has there been any movement toward single-stair in our state or area that you are aware of?

Does anyone know what they’re doing on Oberlin in front of the AT&T Store/Tupelo Honey? Is it a bus stop?

Yeah, bus stop and bike lane as part of the Oberlin Road Improvements

Clipped from a project update for Council.
Bike lane slips behind the bus stop pad.

Haven’t seen it in a bit, but here’s what it looked like on August 23rd

I think that picture is a fake. In the rendering, it shows a much bluer sky.

I thought you were going to say it’s fake because there is a GMC Terrain vehicle and not Porsche!

Im not a professional bus stop installer myself, but i believe adding blue sky is the last thing they do.

Goodnight’s sign looks like it was installed yesterday or today. Didn’t get a chance to grab a picture but it looked really nice.

I’m happy more apartment developers are understanding that ground floor units with access to the side walk are in-demand. The added benefit is that it adds activity and visual interest to the street, instead of blank walls.

Based on the render, it appears there are 5 floors above those tall windows currently being framed out, which would indicate that this is essentially topped out!

I added some definition to what will probably be the parapet wall up top:

Guests will have a pretty nice view of downtown here I think.
