Clicked on this link within the article thinking it had some new interesting stuff…https://www.wraltechwire.com/2019/07/11/5-new-commercial-towers-planned-for-dt-raleigh-heres-the-lowdown/?amp=1
That link takes you to a pre-pandemic article from July 2019.
The WRAL Techwire link surprisingly has breaking news:
“Construction of a new 365,000 square-foot mixed-use development in Raleigh is now underway”
I’ll have to check that claim after work today to see if it’s true.
It also makes that amenity level look gigantic. Oh…the power of renderings.
And Fayetteville St looks as far away as North Hills…
Not to mention that 301 Hillsborough is right there.
And all of the power lines magically disappeared.
I’m pretty sure 301 Hillsborough underwent several redesigns since that image was released in the year two thousand and eighteen.
Not sure if this was already known, but consulting firm Stewart is involved with this project as a landscape architect and civil engineer:
I’m not sure if this caution tape around the electrical box is related to the demolition, but this was yesterday after work.
Maybe it’s a slingshot?
They will begin by demo’ing the electric box, then come back to do the building in a few weeks
Or a few years
They still have some work to do to get their building permit. They have to re-submit. That should not stop them from doing demolition though.
watch for flying chairs !!
That’s funny. That chair was toppled when I went back by.
Asbestos removal currently happening now in preparation for demolition.
It’s even more beautiful than I dared hope!
