A couple of shots from last night. This feels like somebody is actually trying to out pace Kane in speed of construction.
Street level with Hillsborough, what was a rather steep drop off.
Looking back from GlenSo.

Itās GloSo, get it right!
Thatās awesome to see how fast this has come back from being a hole in the ground (looking at you Lynde pit).
Do we know if this is going to be all rebar in concrete as it comes out of the ground, or will it be steel beams like Bloc83?
Blows my mind that we thought this project was dead in the water six months ago and now we have a crane and a foundation. Wild stuff.
From Dix the RUSbus tower will be between the Dillon and 301H, breaking up the height monotony somewhat.
This gotta be the ugliest shit Iāve ever seen
WELCOME TO BROWN TOWN, BABY! Ugly as hell
NOVA residents spend more time than anyone Iāve ever known talking about how great the region is. I suspect they are trying to convince themselves as much as anyone else.
Arlington = Ugly D.C.
At least the buildings in NOVA are nice and have noticeable differences in design unlike Arlington. Alexandria is really nice in my opinion.
But the water views are very nice
The hate for that place for me is not measurable.
I mean⦠isnāt it basically North Hills but bigger and older? And you love North Hills!
Totally different vibe in Raleigh, two different worlds.

As an unintended art project, I am just going to leave these half uploaded images here for everyoneās imaginations.
The aerial view isnāt great but from the ground itās ok. I liked staying in Crystal City. Iāve stayed at the Crowne Plaza, Embassy Suites, Doubletree, and Marriott in the area. The Crystal City shops didnāt have anything fantastic but I loved being able to access the Metro directly from the hotel. The shops had some ok commuter stores where you could pick up some food or get some errands done. Itās not a particular exciting area but they do have some good amenities.
It is way better than Tysons.
Also to add to this, I found a video that discusses Indoor Cities (Click here for Youtube Video). I thought of the Crystal City Shops to be somewhat of an indoor city (minus a lot of housing options). They have an Amazon Fresh store now which I believe is a grocery store (which I was really hoping theyād put at the mall since the 4 star store isnāt that great). I love the outdoors, but I also love places where I can still have a great day when the weather is bad outside. I guess the Crystal City Shops could be looked at as a mall.
I donāt want to go too far off topic here, but I think it may be good if we had a general thread to talk about different developments in general.
All I see is links that donāt click. The suspense is killing me
