AC Hotel Raleigh Downtown

That’s more than I hoped for. I just liked the connectivity between Glenwood South and downtown, and the renderings didn’t look bad. A little underwhelmed with the execution in daylight, but only a little. And the added lights at night is an unexpected bonus.

I’d love to see another building at least 10 stories tall right beside it, preferably residential with ground floor retail. That would really help Glenwood’s entrainment area to expand to Hillsborough St.

Those horizontal lines make it feel kind of art deco. Cool lights.

It looks fine to me lol. Am I the only one who doesn’t see an issue?

I didn’t want to be the one to ask what they meant :joy:

If you zoom in on the S in Hotels, it doesn’t look flush against the building like the rest of the letters. Robert is eagle eyed!

I see it now! Almost looks photoshopped on

And the spacing between the L and S doesn’t look consistent. It could just be the camera angle. I’ll walk by today.

Somebody needs to apply kerning to that sign.

It’s the “o” with weird spacing

bad kerning can never be justified!

We ever figure out what’s opening right next to The Willard? If it’s a restaurant or bar? They’re making pretty good progress on the inside and exterior of that building.

Looks like The Willard is opening up in September!
