We won’t have this exact view much longer either, with that huge Creamery tower all but guaranteed. This is a really cool perspective, especially pic 2 with more of West St in the foreground. It almost looks like one big city.
Care to draw that up for us?
Maybe that’s why the transplants think Iron Works is “downtown” lmao XD
I couldn’t tell if it was Highwoods (blvd) or Atlantic Ave, but I (think) I could definitely see the cranes over at Iron Works from the AC, which was cool.
I totally agree that it gives a cool extension of the urban landscape of town, which will be more pronounced when/as other micro planned devs begin breaking ground. Like, I can’t fathom the view from City Club when we’re able to look out from every vantage point and see what appears to be a sprawling (albeit basically disjointed and somewhat N/S linear) urbanscape, from Downtown South to Five Horizons/ParkCitySouth, and all the collective “mid-town” developments.
Maybe a not so distant future either.
Find me a good shot of this angle in the daytime and I will be happy to give it a go
Tell me about this “City Club” - is that this view you shared?
Wells Fargo building.
I was fortunate enough to attend a Christmas party a couple years back at someone’s place who lived in the PNC building (towards the top). The views up there of downtown and Raleigh in general were amazing. I’m pretty positive I could see the airport from all the way up there too.
I would LOVE to see what kind of view they have of all the construction going on as well as I’m sure it’s all encompassing (Iron Works, North Hills, Glenwood South, etc.)
Good gracious, those parking decks look even worse at night.
Little article about the rooftop bar opening. Apparently the bar itself is called The Willard. Go figure…
Is there parking at the hotel/bar or do we need to park some where else?
Apparently they have a slick new website out there now.
Managed by the group that runs the Durham Hotel bar (and the new-ish Mayton in Cary)…
This sounds really interesting, especially with the killer new views.
That building is just stunning. The way it shines on any occasion
New Italian spot coming to the ground floor of The Willard!
*Also looks like construction is already starting
There a few locations in Clayton/Benson area. Here’s their site: https://anthonyslapiazza.net/
