So uhhhhh are they gonna screen the massive wall of concrete on the side(s) of that awful parking deck too, or literally just the corner that faces the street? Because if the latter, that’s pretty damn short sighted and is only going to look even more dumb

I doubt the east side of the deck will get any treatment beyond the fancy concrete stamp/pattern that exists on those darker horizontal sections. I expect the same goes for the southern face of the deck facing that poor multi-family house.
Yeah I mean it looks like that screening is gonna still be installed on the side facing the Two Hillsborough building, and they’re painting some of the concrete. I’d hope they at least paint the concrete on the back 2 sides of the deck, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Dylan’s right and it’s just that stamp pattern.
I kind of wonder if they tried to buy the rest of the block and the owners said no, so now it’s both a little screw you to them, and an incentive to sell for future development in the future.

The decorative siding looks, to me, like matchbox track. Some of you might remember that. In fact that might make this more fun, put a couple mini cars zipping sideways on the wall.

Just saw the next phase has some movement. A neighborhood meeting planned for Thursday and an appearance at the planning commission before Oct 9. Hope they share some renderings or plans

I wonder if the parking deck will have any horizontal lighting to make it a little more interesting at night. It would also help it tie into the vertical lighting on One Glenwood. No clue if/how they would illuminate Tower Two, but fingers crossed for something interesting as well.

As it stands, it’s really disappointing. I haven’t given up hope, but I am not holding my breath either.
has one glenwood been lit up recently? the last few times i’ve passed by at night it hasn’t been.
No idea, I haven’t been downtown at night in months.
