But we do ours in downtown Cary and downtown Durham, because you know, diversity or something
Mine is called “rUn cLuB lol” because it’s not an official run club, literally just a handful of us buddies that meetup Tuesdays and occasional Saturday mornings to run together
1520 Blue Ridge – recently upzoned to 12 floors. Now proposed for “Aura Blue Ridge”, 370 multi-family units with amenities and a wrapped parking deck.
ASR-0018-2023 coming soon.
Based on the lot size and number of units that sounds like a five over one, at best. And it doesn’t sound like retail is being included. Hopefully the building design engages with Blue Ridge, especially at the intersection with Westchase. I’d hate to see a huge setback or no building entrances fronting Blue Ridge when the City is trying to make this corridor more urban (in design, not just density).
Long-term plans are in the works for NCDOT’s service yard across the street from Dorton Arena:
True. Giant site at ~4.5 ac. Thinking of comparable, Stanhope is 300 units on 3.5 acre. So probably something around that scale.
Does anyone know what they are doing at the intersection of Blue Ridge and Hillsborough, never been able to find anything on it.
It’s wrapped as of the I-440 project so that’s why it’s hard to find standalone information.

Apparently my West Raleigh location is going to be cool someday, according to this article. Lol
Also a couple of renderings of the new DHHS building and parking deck that’s under construction.
Just heard Bandwidth will have butts in seats as of 8/1
There is proposal for 5 story apartments at 3725 Harden. Hopefully some first floor retail as that area needs it. 2501 Blue Ridge was floating idea of putting restaurant on the corner in parking lot.
Any idea who the developer is?
And I was promised a hotel with a rooftop bar in my neighborhood.
Toll Brothers is the developer
Maybe you’ll get a Gucci store?
We can only hope Pittsburgh and Sacramento got there’s. the first is a blue collar steel mill town however they have a lot of tech bros so do we maybe will get one. Whether that’s RTP, Midtown Raleigh, Raleigh downtown Raleigh, or Blue Ridge I know it’s coming. Apple moving here is a major employers that will employ high earning folks, and they’ll be tech events and they need to look fly. Sacramento has 1 pro sports team like us and they got the one in the Roseville area of that town. We have our Canes players making really good money for a market our size its possible. And college athletes can now make money of their endorsements they need to get off that bus to a game looking fly.
