FINALLY
And on the WAKE COUNTY side of RTP!
FINALLY
And on the WAKE COUNTY side of RTP!
That average salary number seems high, even for high tech.
Seriously. Thatâs Cupertino money, not Raleigh money!
I wonder if it should say compensation instead of salary. When you factor in full compensation package and what itâs worth, then $187K starts to make more sense. Either that or they will only put executives and managers out at this location.
Maybe Tim Cook is one of the 3k jobs. A $15 million salary will bring that average up for sure.
Just saw this on National Desk national news. Said that Apple was going to invest 400B+ in US. Only project they actually mention was NC. Seems Apple did not go away
Wages of at least $187,000, wow, seems I retired to soon.
EDIT - Does that mean we will get an AppleSaucer? Darn I wrote software in 80âs and 90âs to search out fraud and best routing for trucks, does that count as early AI work? And only I got paid 1/2 as much.
Good software engineers in AI and machine learning can earn pretty big salaries these days.
Housing prices will continue to sky rocket in the area with this kind of money coming in.
yep bet some of the recent housing developments near the Triangle will get upgraded to bigger fancier houses on bigger lotâs. Oh the harrow think of all the extra cars.
Another 3000 cars on I-40 heading to RTP. Need that commuter rail built ASAP.
With the location description they gave I think this is going to be somewhat near Davis Dr and 540. Probably out of range for most to even consider using the commuter rail since itâs over 4 miles to where the station would be. I know we talked about the connections with Uber and circulator busses but weâre kidding ourselves if we think people making that much would go out their way to do that. With it being a few miles off 40 hopefully most will be utilizing 540 from like apex and holly springs
Shuttel buses, Did work in Toronto where company ran shuttle buses from Train/subway station to office couple miles away; worked great. I can see a transit hub as, part of the new Triangle Down Town, with electric shuttles running to big employers in RTP. Itâs to spread out to even think of trying to having stops for each big employer.
2021 is the 2019 we didnât get. lol Now were just wait patiently for Amazon to announce a tech campus.
this is hugeâŚnow we can only hope the NC general assembly doesnât screw this up, They already have a few âquestionableâ bills proposed that arenât exactly apple friendlyâŚ
Anyways, i think this deal involves money for infrastructure for the entire area and Iâm sure theyâll take into account ways to make commute easier for their high valued employees.
Apex and Holly Springs? Youâre forgetting that at least half of these people will be purchasing condos in downtown Raleigh!
Could work! I just fear that with the amount of money these people are bringing in they wonât want to deal with transit. Maybe itâs just my Atlanta showing lol where Transit is seen as âpoor people stuffâ smh
Hopefully those will be more open to taking Transit! I think the ones living in the city vs the burbs are usually more open thinking as far as Transit wise
The Business Journal shows it being between Louis Stephens Dr. and 540/Davis Dr, just below the Cisco Campus. Wake GIS seems to confirm that with the plots being owned by Acute Investments. (The company affiliated with Apple)
I agree that Buses have bad rep in US. But this would be dedicated point to point private shuttles. Thatâs not the same.
