Those are old. The middle photo was when Exploris was looking at the site for their new building (bottom center-right). I do not believe these are anything official.
Does anyone know if the automated parking garage at City Gateway is actually underway yet, or are they mainly just working on the road extension to MLK right now?
Is the area with all the trees supposed to be included in whatever this thing will wind up being?
I can’t tell yet what is happening in the area marked here in red. They’ve cut down part of the hill and removed trees. Maybe a side path?
I do hate we lose all those trees as you come into town…
More is better!! Rawleigh does have a lot, but what is special is how far the trees reach into downtown.
So there should be around 2 high rises in that extra space??

Those tress are the “Salisbury Square” block. Latest submittal was a giant 545-unit, 7-story apartment building (zero retail?!), parking deck, and space for a future hotel.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. This was originally supposed to be two 20ish story towers, right?
I think that will be part of the new access from WB MLK to McDowell. How though I don’t know.
I was guessing they were adding a new lane there to ease backups due to the school pickup line
