Should I be cautiously optimistic? I don’t want to put myself out there again, only to be hurt once more. :grimacing:

Drove by today and saw a sign saying BankOZK is providing financing. That seems like a fairly major step to take unless the project is finally about to get out of the ground?

That’s been there for a while

Ah, hadn’t ever noticed it before. Oh well.

Good Morning everyone, I hope all is well!

Here’s a list of hotels brands I hope to see in or near downtown:

  1. Hilton Curio Collection (near Dix)
  2. JW Marriott (Duke Energy Center lot)
  3. Westin (Anywhere)
  4. Hyatt Place (Village District)
  5. Wyndham (Anywhere)

I wonder when AirBnB will begin a development division and announce an Airbnb brand high rise.

Edit: they already did

We stayed at a Nashville downtown development that’s an apartment building but is 100% an Airbnb-friendly building. We loved it. I’m pretty sure I posted something about it a couple of years ago when we stayed there. Not in a place to dig for it right now, but it’s a thing and has been for a while.

so does this actually mean anything real is happening? Have they even received building permits?

This appears to be the focus of their dirt moving.

Dirt mover man confirms this is site prep. He said for a hotel.

May have missed in much earlier discussion but does anyone know which hotel this is / have the site plans?

It’s a Hilton Garden Inn & Homewood Suites dual branded hotel. 259 Rooms at 13 floors.

And I believe this is the current rendering.

I’ll take it. Would assume it’ll end up very similar to this one on 10th street in ATL. Also 13 stories and seems the same exact size. ATL one just has the curved corner.

Downtown desperately needs a luxury brand though. Hopefully that’s what we see by the Square

Actually, this hotel was originally planned to have a curved glass corner. Some guy named Leo Suarez posted the initial renderings on his blog back in 2015:

Ugh, I am willing to lose the curve for the slightly better brick version they are going with now.
