A little clarification that I got from the snippet of article I was able to see before the paywall. I was wondering if the 3,500 capacity was total capacity or of one of the venues in the building. It says “main ballroom” of 3,500 so that’s awesome. It also does mention the rooftop entertainment space so hopefully that doesn’t get value engineered out. There’s also private meeting space in the venue as well. LOVE IT!

While it’s being marketed as such, I wonder how its use really plays out? Ballroom can mean a lot of different uses like a convention center.

With how lucrative and jam-packed the wedding business has become, expect to see lots of those.

AEG appears to be specifically focused on music, sports, and entertainment. I don’t expect this space to be used for conferences. Maybe a wedding, but a 3500 cap room with bars/restrooms laid out for large performances is probably not well suited for the avg wedding

There is an amphitheater planned for Dix, but it is in a later phase which will likely be many many years away.
