Bummer. Feels like that has been the statement the last 6 meetings. Hope they can get the finances sorted out soon. Sure appreciate the info!
It is a little disconcerting, especially the part about financing. Hmmm…
Folks, CRE is in a world of hurt right now. This is not the least but surprising to those close to the industry.
They need a major league sports tenant, it could be on hold for awhile.

This aerial being rotated counter clockwise really messed with my brain for a minute.
Are we getting a new tower crane, or is one being disassembled? Spotted this on Penmarc as well as another piece turning onto Saunders, but I don’t think it’s for Downtown South given they haven’t broken ground. Anyone got any ideas?
Could be for demolition?
RUS Bus? “groundbreaking” ceremony is today and the below grade site work should be somewhat quick since they’ve already flatten the site?
That would still be weeks out and usually the crane doesn’t come unless the base is fully prepped.
for what its worth, the old am station many years ago, wptf, used We Protect The Family as sloganism…a pleasant culture despite the warts.
There may a tower crane somewhere in DTR that needs to be raise and they will add this section

Hey Guys, I went to the Golden Corral Veterans Meal tonight and missed the DTSouth Zoom Meeting. Can anyone give us information on tonight’s meeting? Thanks
Still awaiting financing and are in a holding pattern. You didnt miss much!
That’s surprising for a Kane project. He’s been building nonstop in North Hills since he bought the original mall almost 20 years ago.
They have had 2-3 projects (at least ) going on a rolling basis since I moved to Raleigh 12 or so years ago. The 08 recession and the Pandemic. didn’t seem to slow him down one bit.
He’s either prioritizing north hills build out, or funding is actually seriously drying up. Or maybe a bit of both.
