Have you been to Wisconsin in any fall/winter months? Holy mother of god that cold is something else, like instant full-body shaking right down to your bones. Cut them some slack- the HELL else are they gonna do for half the year than drink???:rofl::rofl:

The southeast looking like leaders here.

They must not have asked the folks in Tarboro… lolol

Was there for lunch after early voting. Busy. Food was good but yeah pricy. Just drove by and very busy.

Maybe this was already mentioned but they have an outside (semi-covered) bar with only NC drafts (at least when we were there last night). The outdoor patio is beautiful and I dig the over-designed steel structure and the angles make it very welcoming IMO. They’re adding TVs outside so this will kind of double as a sports bar in sense. We got there too late to try food but very much looking forward to giving this a try on Sunday with @john and @OakCityKarla!

Drove to Dicky’s BBQ in Morrisville tonight cuzz no parking lot at Long Leaf. Not bad, price was right. Also hit Trader Joe’s, Andia’s Ice Cream. Free parking et all…:grimacing: Glorious.

Homie you live downtown!!!

Tried going to LongLeaf today as well and the line was out the door to the side walk. Ended up going to Ole Time BBQ instead. Still the best in the area imo. Going to try Longleaf at some point this week though.

Just for the views. Honestly been missing the quiet life of a single family home in a better neighborhood.

Longleaf was sold out at 1:30. Had a great lunch at Gringo as the backup option.

OK, I’ll be the suburban Raleighite, here. Where would one suggest parking for Longleaf Swine?

FYI, they’re closed today. We found that out the hard way. Not sure about parking. There’s a lot caddy corner (sp?) from Longleaf but not sure if it’s public? There’s various street parking around and a few spots on property.

Assuming you don’t want to pay, just park somewhere east of it and walk. Bloodworth usually has parking. So does Hargett.

Is parking allowed in the post office lot after they close?

State government parking lot on Blount St? You can use them on week ends and after 5pm.

The parking deck across Blount St from Marbles is pretty close too. And free on weekends although they are closed today.

This is it. State gov lots are free after 5pm and I use this sometimes. Therefore, plenty of space across the street from Longleaf.

No excuses people. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks. Hubs has to get around with crutches (after effects from his cancer treatment). So, trying to figure that into the equation.

Shame on WRAL for excluding Longleaf Swine in their Foodie News of the week:

But don’t worry they were able to report on the renovations and recent re-opening of Chuck E Cheese.
I’ve always thought they should make a pizza topped with psilocybin.
