Election Day, Nov 3, 2020

The governor of Massachusetts is probably the most liberal Republican governor in the country, living in a very blue state. It’s possible he’d name a Democratic woman to replace her until a special election is held.

Only if he plans on never running for another office as a Republican again. Tossing control of the Senate to Democrats is pretty much grounds for excommunication.

It is hard for me to imagine Warren’s seat going to a Republican, but as Gucci points out, it is a Republican governor . . . Still.
From what I’ve read (and I read way to much political news for my own good) Sen Harris is an odds on favorite for the VP position.

Harris would be a good pick but she wouldn’t appease the Bernie folks but really nobody would.
Odds are unlikely the Senate balance would be at stake anyway but it’s probably too big of a risk to take. It will be interesting to see if Trump dumps Pence and picks Haley like the rumours that have been floating around.

I would strongly support this move. I was a big fan of Harris early on. She has fire.

In the heady days of a candidate field full of women, I was dreaming of a Warren/Harris ticket.

As others have said, I see very little chance of Warren as a running mate bc that would 99.99% give Republicans another Senator.

I think it will/should definitely be a woman. Harris or Klobuchar seem like they have a chance. I’ve also read Stacy Abrams of Georgia mentioned in several articles.
