Just got an email that the building at 227 Fayetteville Street is going up for auction at a “steep discount.” Who’s in?
Hoffman & Associates should pounce on this opportunity and build a signature tower
Apartments, condos, minimal office space, small/mid sized grocery store (H Mart, Aldi, Lidl), international retail stores (Muji, Uniqlo, Nike, Apple)
I stopped by Morning Times this morning for the feedback session. I love to see a big map on a table and opportunities to chit chat with the consultants. Honestly, I don’t have anything insightful to share as they are just gathering as much feedback as possible.
So here’s the call to action. Fill out this form: Activity #4

I still think a holiday market à la Washington DC (near the Portrait Gallery) would be a winner. I don’t even buy anything, it is just supremely cozy.
Well, one guy with a lot of time on his hands is at least.
“The City should not spend any money on making things nice until they purge the city of homeless people to my liking” is certainly a take I’m willing to discount
Completely useless comments lmao
Nothing nice for Raleigh until all homeless people are eradicated
I’m ok if they can do both at the same time.
Sadly, our city’s running on a single-threaded processor, circa 1985. Fancy a new dog park? Sure, but that’s it. Everything else is on pause.

Bumping this back up to the top (boittom?)
That would be great for downtoen! I’m sure there enough people to support that.’
Instead of complaining about homeless include the Raleigh rescue mission in the development. You can’t eradicate homeless people or druggies but you can for now put them in a specific area like an abandoned building.
It looks like the Harrington St and Bryant Center have expanded to overnight stays rather than just drop in events.
The only way I could see anything close to that happening is if they closed it during weekends or something
Benny’s new signage is actually really cool. This area is going to look awesome once the Moshakos’ place and all the others are filled
I think that Fayetteville street needs a “Shiny Diner”.
I liked Mitch Silver’s input that it should be “Eat Street”. Sidewalk cafes in every possible space.
