What use will the corner property be after reno?
Those bike lanes on Atlantic right now are a joke. I’ve never seen a single cyclist on that road and its because most of them have a sense of self-preservation. Not to mention there’s not even any sidewalks on Whitaker Mill going over the train tracks.
I think there’s a lot of potential for this area to grow into a cool and dynamic district of the city but its going to take a lot of work.

I heard it is to be a coworking space.
ooops…i was doing it back in October. i did feel stared at.
ASR is available
It will go from 16 units to 33. Nice illustration of using missing middle TC.
I could be wrong here, but I thought the midtown road plan required any new development here to connect to the development next door? Maybe since there is not a rezoning they can’t enforce that?
It’s true that when East End Market was going through city process, staff asked them to plan for a possible future road / pedestrian connection if the appartements were being redeveloped in the future.
As you mentioned there is no rezoning involved as the applicant is using missing middle UDO additions so I’m not sure the city has a word.
I personally would like at least a pedestrian connection.
I’m hearing reports of a Music Venue coming to Salvage yard. I’m hoping to have rough plans to share sometime soon. Nothing huge, but roughly Ritz sized
Interesting. So something more official than the outdoor stage and lawn area? Which seemed like a similar concept to Bowstring’s stage setup?
This will be all indoors besides a small outdoor seating area. Stage is currently 18x9 dimensions.
Dude, Ritz has a nearly 1,500 capacity. I’d consider that pretty huge, considering they book some pretty big nationally touring acts. This could be big news!!
big enough… 3 hole PUNCH | SoundClick
I hadn’t noticed this little Iron Works artwork!
I spy a @GucciLittlePenguin in the wild
Love how these apartments have turned out. Really complements the industrial vibe.
I wish this was my office.
Man, this is such a cool space… but how are you getting in there to snoop all around it?? Is it just completely open to the public?
You can just drive up and walk around. I didn’t go into any buildings or anything. These are all public, open-space areas, and they didn’t have signs or fences. I think the sandwich shop and some of the office space is open or nearly so. Two other guys were walking around too.
I remember reading one of the RALToday newsletters from last week and they were reporting Eastcut Sandwich should be opening April/May 2023.Not sure if they had any signage up or anything when y’all were out there.
They had signs up around the place with their name on it, and outside seating by what I assume is their location. I thought they had already opened until I thought about it more as I was leaving. If I had realized it was still in progress, I would’ve taken a picture of whatever they have going on inside. Their menu looks legit tho online!
There’s already a fitness business that’s open and operating. I went last week and went down the slide and walked around a bit. It’s a pretty cool space. Really looking forward to the grand opening.
