Five Points, East End Market, & Raleigh Iron Works

As luck would have it, I ended up driving by today running an errand. This is the interior of Eastcut Sandwich and the current little outside seating. Similar seating is around outside in several spots, so this may not be specific to whatever they might do themselves once open.

I’m pretty sure it’s only residential but this is a sneaky underrated development.

Hope it gives some more life to the retail in Five Points, specifically the Lonerider / Rialto strip. Not a far walk at all from this development.

Current building going up is a luxury retirement community building… so not going to add much foot traffic haha - but then closer to the foreground of this pic will be a general apartment building of similar size/footprint, and then behind these bigger buildings will be townhomes, SFHs, and cottages. I believe the corner here will be a standalone retail building (my gut tells me it’ll just be a CVS or some boring corporate shit, of course hahaha)

Yup, good free parking, clean. Roll on in via Tahoe take up 2 parking spots and eat some grub.

Full disclosure, I did park in the middle of the little street to take these 2 pics. LOL
(probably 60 seconds start to finish, and didn’t see anyone else around)

I don’t care if @oakcityyimby already posted this in the restaurants thread, I have a different source! :joy:

Anyone know if Uncle Jessie’s (if it’s still opening) is taking the Loop space as well? If not, for pure speculation maybe R&D is adding another taproom here.

What is this Loop place? I’ve never seen that sign up until this picture…

According to IG Uncle Jessie’s is opening this Saturday. I too have not seen the Loop sign prior to this pic.

I’m hoping this is a Full House themed bar with John Stamos pictures and hair care products adorning the walls… :crossed_fingers:

wow… talk about a flashback to the 90s. You’re showing your age there. :stuck_out_tongue:

Guessing R&D was there to supply Uncle Jessie’s taps. I also cannot find anything online about this “Loop” place.

Yeah I’m sure you’re right, I honestly didn’t realize Uncle Jessie’s was actually opening still. Loop sign has been there for at least a month if not longer, no idea what it is.

Maybe it’s this Uncle Jessie instead…

I clearly didn’t watch enough TV in the 90s. That reference is lost on me.

Damn, color me disappointed. Zero chance of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen sightings now…
