I’m calling this AC porn and it’s for @R-Dub.

Crown shots
SWEET shots of the crown. Is this Raleigh’s 4th tallest?
And with all those AC units on top, where do they put the solar panels??
Great composition on this picture. Looks like an album cover.
So, we gotta crown for a nameplate?
Or at least a tiara.
With a HUGE acorn in center in place of diamond.
New place for the New Years Eve acorn drop?

Richmond is the kind of place that grows on you with time. They have a lot of the DT density that Raleigh is lacking. The skyline is pretty flat and boxy, but along the riverfront and Shockoe slip/shockoe botttom there is stuff to do. And Richmond has a lot of history (like it or not). I always appreciated the history of the city when I called it home.
From I-95, it’s ugly. From the street, maybe the government area is still bland, but Richmond oozes with 19th century character. If you’re into that, it’s a great looking city.
I actually really like the skyline view from 95… I also enjoy visiting the whole city. Lots of history and interesting architecture and breweries too. It also feels like a downtown that’s too big for the amount of people and things to do.
I just zip through on way from Ral to DC. The old curvy toll road is fun to drive in not much traffic - lol
I like looking down and off to the right as I pass through downtown Richmond. Richmond’s skyline impressed me when I was younger, but it’s getting less impressive as time goes on. It has an advantage of appearing on high ground upon approach, but that’s about it.
that stretch is nice, kind of like driving through buildings, not on ground.
I think Richmond’s skyline punches above its weight.
