I wouldn’t trade skylines with Richmond personally.
I do envy the density of some neighborhoods though. We will get new density on par with that eventually, but you can’t replicate historic density and that is something they can be proud of.

I think my new “rule” when it comes to tangents like the Richmond story here is that I won’t let tangents last more than a day until I start to move them. I have no problem with them though, they are relevant, but I want to see the conversation makes its way back on track.

I was walking home and noticed the crown was complete. The crane was being used until after 7pm too.
Just wondering when is it supposed to open?
Spring of 2020 was on the fence banner before construction started, but no idea if the schedule is on track.
I did get a notice that the crane is coming down starting tomorrow:
The 500 block of Wilmington Street – between Lenoir and Cabarrus Streets – will be shut down Thursday, September 12 through Monday, September 16 to allow for work related to a tower crane associated with the First National Bank Tower at 501 Fayetteville Street.
I wonder when we can get a ruling if this is Raleigh’s new 4th tallest.
