Looks like we have a timeline? This business owner is saying they have to move out by 5/2024 I think.
What business are we speaking of?
Apparently this is the Future of Glenwood South: more late night weekend violence.
No, that’s the present of Glenwood South.
idk but the property referenced is 733 W Johnson St, Raleigh, NC 27616
The “future” can’t arrive soon enough
The 700 W Jones assemblage was updated… the necessary additional materials are in, and now due to go before the Planning Commission at some point:

Apparently Cuya, a cocktail bair upstairs from Cortez (same owners) is opening later this month. This is from their Instagram. Still haven’t been to Cortez, and I’m skeptical of any new bars on Glenwood because they all seem to open and close pretty quickly. But at least we could have an Instagrammable meetup there.
Cortez is legit, tasty grub and beverages.
That cocktail looks both holly and jolly!
Cortez is one of the better restaurants in Raleigh. Definitely in the regular rotation.
Personally I’m glad that voices are being raised about this issue. Busy and noisy evenings are one thing, but violence is completely unacceptable.
Public hearing for the 620 W Jones spite house assemblage set for 1/17
