Young Hearts Distilling opened today at 4pm. I had thought they were under construction but nope. Very nice space, some really interesting and tasty food, and delicious drinks.
(That one’s a little blurry; my phone tried to focus on the glass instead of the distilling equipment.)

It’s no different than the McDonalds, or any other fast food chain business model.

Looks nice, but also looks quite expensive. Do you think that it’s worth the $?

We mostly had small plates and cocktails and dessert. Pricey but I thought it was worth it.
Cheaper than having 2 homes…

We also went for dinner last night. It is pricey but worth it. We also ordered with price in mind. I’d recommend splurging on starters though. The hoppin John croquettes were amazing.

Are we going to start a pool on the closing date already?

Where was Pharaohs? And the very first restaurant there was called like wild ginger or something back when the building first opened.
I thought Pharaoh’s was at the History Museum? Doesn’t seem to be there anymore from a quick Google search though.

Original Pharoah’s was in North Hills two doors up from Total Wine.
It was but there was also one in the (now) red hat building when it first opened. Sooo 2006-7?

The leading news story currently on WRAL lol. You guys broke this story first a few days ago.
Josh Breed, owner of the Vault, says that face masks are ineffective at preventing the spread of COVID-19, and that people need to "show their face" while in his store. He's concerned about thieves trying to rob the store, and hiding behind a face...

St Roche transforming into coffee shop? Look at new metal sign if you zoom in. New paint. Work going on in interior also. They had a kitchen fire a couple of months ago. Not sure if repairing or changing concept.

At least you know where he stands. I won’t be shopping there, that’s for sure.
