General Retail/Restaurant News

Had no idea where to post this. But downtown feeling lively today, love it.

Milk Bar currently hosting their block party on Tucker St. with live music and DJs. Getting to enjoy the music from my apartment :ok_hand:t3:

We also got the International Festival happening on Fayetteville Street as we speak.

Thanks. Maybe I’ll walk over to Tucker. I’m just 2 blocks away!

Walked and drove around downtown today (got too hot walking), and it was really nice to see all the stuff going on!

Glad to hear. This heat, I just don’t.

Now we just need to get people back into their offices.

Working in an office

Hey man, being in an office isn’t for everybody, but I can’t focus at home. I returned to the office as soon as I was given the option. I need the change of scenery.

Fully understand that. We started to do 2 days back per week, but with all the new cases we have decided to go fully remote again. Personally I’m fine with never going back into an office again.

Yeah, I get to nothing but yard work done when I am home. I’ve been back in the office since January. I do have a private office. But I am thankful to be out of the house.

And your wife is in full agreement.

You have no idea how right you are. She has worked from home for years, and when both myself and my daughter ended up being at home all the time we seriously disrupted her mojo.

Same thing for us, actually. My wife is an introvert and I am… loud. Turns out I’m a bit of a distraction lol.

We both face the same struggle!!

New neighborhood bar coming to the old Dickys BBQ spot. Says they will focus on higher end drinks and small plates. Wants to feel like a neighborhood drop in spot.

More Oak City group diversification…

Time for Raleigh to be the first NC city to allow open container in downtown area and parks! Come on let’s do it!

I’m not positive if it’s legal, but every Thursday night at Moore Square for Jazz in the park we bring a couple coolers of beer to drink.

We have noticed other people doing it as well and they also sell beer and wine basically to-go at Square burger.

Not legal to bring your own. Alcohol is banned in Raleigh/State parks without a permit. Do you like living in fear of being ticketed or harassed by officials/police? God bless America!

Well if I cared even a tiny percent I would have looked up the legality behind it, I don’t.
If they say something, they say something.

Still waiting for them to privatize liquor sales so we could actually get a good selection, but happy to see any movement in the right direction.
