I saw that vegetarians are at an increased risk of stroke. Vegetarians might have higher risk of stroke than meat eaters, study says - CNN

I assume my diet of bourbon and filet mignon will keep me alive forever

One thing for sure, sitting on our fat asses and not exercising will kill us no matter what we eat.

That actually looks amazing. Real neapolitan style, unlike another downtown pizza establishment that gets by on false claims and puts out garbage.

You’re gonna have to narrow it down because that could mean about six different places in my opinion…

La Stella

I learned today that Five Star is relocating to Glenwood South. The speaker wasn’t crystal clear as to which building but 99% sure it’s the old auto interiors place next to 42nd St on N West that is currently being rehabbed. The building that Five Star is currently in will be torn down as part of the RUSBus building.

Heavily rehabilitated a la The Dillon

Yes, it’s the auto interiors place. And I’ve also heard the same tumor from a reputable source who works for another company that will be occupying the same building.

Food will be the same, sure, but I fear that a relocated Five Star just won’t have the same character and vibe that the current one has- with the staircase leading to a second floor, the high ceilings in the dining area, the DJ stage where some wild parties have been thrown, the lighting- everything. I’m really bummed that at least that one section of warehouse on the corner of Hargett x West can’t just be preserved. The warehouse next to it is so huge, not to mention empty and unused- surely it could be big enough for a new development. Oh well.

On a brighter note, the new place hopefully won’t smell like bleach and industrial cleaner as soon as I walk in…

…Unless they clean the new building with bleach before they open! :joy: I just hope they keep the party vibes in the new space. I am very interested in the future of that Auto Interiors rehab project, and am at least glad to know the first almost confirmed business to move in will be quality!

I agree. I’m actually kind of excited to see some cool businesses in that spot. August Construction Solutions do a great job rehabbing old buildings too.

I just hope that they bring their current front door with them.

Exactly what I mean when I mention the character their current space has. Everything is so curated and interesting looking. I just hope they don’t make it all “NEW!” and shiny and plain in the new spot. I hope they bring as much of their current decor with them as possible.

Here’s some of their work for anyone curious.

If the building is going to be gutted, I can’t imagine why they couldn’t take a lot of things. Look at Coopers as an example. They brought things from their original location that makes their new location feel connected to their history.

Remedy pulled off their move quite well and their spot definitely had that new feel at first. It still does but it’s also a cool place.

Unfortunately Coopers brought the bland BBQ with them as well.
