The other confirmed business in that space is a locally-owned structural engineering firm that’s moving from a space on Hillsborough St.

Thanks for the kind words. The current leases signed at 301 North West Street are Five Star which will open in 20’, Friendship BBQ from Jason Howard opening in late 20’. Lynch Mykins, an engineering firm, will be open in November at 5000 SF. ACS is currently building a new office for Imagequix, relocating to a larger space from Rainbow. We are aiming towards an October occupancy. We are building out the only available space called Suite 109. It is an office space and ready to lease at 1,200 SF. The color is not Atlas Stark white it is Sherwin Williams Dover White. We start a new 60’ deck along the right side next week. As soon as Duke removes an abandoned pole we will start the new city sidewalk and an entryway to the suites.

What part is FiveStar going to occupy?

The suite closest to North West with the big new windows. We are waiting on their design in order to prepare the center opening for their entry.

Five Star’s future home!!!
I hope that they bring their front door with them!
Are they going to have outdoor dining space on the north side of the building? I noticed doors on that side that area couple feet off the ground. Is this where the deck will be? Is that what you meant by the right side?

Yes the north elevation.

Not sure if this is the best place for this, but I’ll start here.

Beer is too expensive in DTR. I have just crossed no less than 10 states and I have yet to pay $7 for a pint of beer. And rest assured I have had some good craft beers thus far. I’m sure some of the places I’ve been don’t pay what DTR places pay for rent, but Raleigh isn’t NYC either.

It’s pretty common everywhere especially if you’re getting higher ABV.

Sitting at wicked weed in Asheville as I’m reading this. Home of the 25 dollar tall boy.

Also, check out Boston. I think beer doubled in price since I lived there 10 years ago. But I agree with you. Raleigh craft beer was 4 or 5 bucks when I moved here and now 6 is standard, 7 is getting more popular. I guess I could drink less but my beer belly isn’t going to grow itself…

Also my biggest pet peeve is getting a 9% beer that’s a 10 ounce pour but also still 2 bucks more than the regular beer pints. That’s double dipping!

I don’t want to drink less. Lol. $7 is too much. I’m going to have to let the miser in me take over and start searching for specials.

I actually want more 4-5% IPAs like Little City Mosaic IPA. It’s delicious. I don’t want to be hungover after two beers.

I’m from LA. I’m used to paying $8+$1 tip for a PBR in Santa Monica.

I’m getting old. I had 2 8% peasant brawls at Bond Bros Tuesday and Wednesday morning I’m like, should I call out of work?

Let’s don’t start that again, @GucciLittlePig. I think I graduated from high school before you were born (1982).

Anyone old enough to remember nickel night at Crazy Zack’s on Hillsborough Street. Yep, it was nickel draft! You could get smashed for a quarter.

Yes, yes I can.
I remember drinking one of those buckets almost all the way down, only to discover smeg on the bottom of the cup, black and nasty. I took new bucket for free and was happy as a clam! Goodness, I did not behave in high school. Or college for that matter.
