What-A-Burger is coming to the Old Applebee’s Location located at Six Forks/ Old Wake Forest Rd. intersection.
Cool, but I had hoped that plot would eventually be redeveloped entirely. I suppose it still can be in the future, whenever the hell they get around to developing the “waterfront” district idea…
The good news is that this corner isn’t key to that waterfront. The other corners are costco gas, bp gas, and the vitamin shoppe.
Hopefully a burger, fries and a drink won’t be $20.
More outdoor dining in downtown!
Great news!
According to the article 2 of the 3 retail spots have been filled. Shame about the timelines missing Summer but understandable. Brass Tap is slated to open in ‘Fall’, and Press Coffee in ‘Winter’.
Now what is 400H doing that 301H can’t do? Slightly better location below and near residential?
400H isn’t on the couplet roads that run US401 through downtown. I think its location is more “vibey” and human centered.
Good point! I take it you mean 301 Hillsborough? I guess being a residential tower makes 400 more appealing with retailers. Hopefully with it being in close proximity 301, it could help fill some of those ground level vacancies.
Well, the developer of 301H, during the rezoning case, did mentioned they wanted a 40 story rezoning for phase 2 to help draw in retailers into the office tower. When will phase 2 happen and given that it takes around 18 months to 2 years to build a tower they will be waiting for a long time.
All the more incentive for them to keep the train rolling along at full speed!
This is great news. I knew it was coming to NC (Fayetteville first) but I didn’t know anything about Raleigh. Where did you find out about that? Not surprised though that they are headed this direction.
I would be willing to guess that 400 is able to use residential lease up to “subsidize” better deals for retail leasees than 301, in the form of TI allowances, free months of rent, etc. It’s a better location, but like most things, I’m sure it comes down to money
Wouldn’t the two buildings benchmark off each other in the market? If all financial terms were equal, I’d pick 400H based on location.
Figulina, the new restaurant in the former Humble Pie location, is opening tomorrow night.
Hey I just saw this somewhere online…
FOODIE NEWS — Figulina opens tomorrow evening Friday February 23
CONGRATS to Figulina Pasta and Provisions, which opens for dining service tomorrow evening, Friday February 23. This highly anticipated pasta-centric restaurant led by former Chef David Ellis of Poole’s Diner, takes over the space of former Humble Pie at 317 S Harrington Street in the Warehouse District.
Figulina isn’t your typical classic Italian restaurant, “You could say we’re a Little Italian, a pinch of Southern, a sprinkle of British…a Lot of Delicious!”.
Figulina will also have a full bar serving cocktails and wine. Check out the glass encased room so you can view pasta making in action!
The “Provisions” portion comes later, selling fresh pasta and other items for take out.
@figulina.raleigh opens for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Reservations now on RESY or through https://figulinaraleigh.com.
Where is this?? Looks cool
Next to Dram and Draught, I believe.
Wait… Vic’s? This vibe is very different.
It’s called Vic’s, but I also know that there is a Vic’s Pizza food truck that hangs out around Glenwood South. So my understanding was this is not the same Vic’s as in City Market/LBT.
The same family runs all of them, including the truck. They also ran La Volta on Fayetteville Street a few years back.
