That’s reasonable crew of folks that have worked around RAL_hospitality…Sounds promising.

Whoa, that’s legitimately shocking. I’ve only seen them in big cities or nice malls with big Asian shopping populations.

They’ve got tasty stuff! Koreans know their food.

I was going to reply with a South Korean flag, but our collection of standard emojis only has :north_korea:

You know, I always forget that’s a distillery since it looks and feels so much like a restaurant, but you’re right

Speaking of, it’s been kinda shuttered the last couple times I’ve been past - and chef Josiah there moved down to a spot in Holly Springs - anyone have any news? This seems to be the ‘Trophy’ spot with the most turnover. Heck, at this point - just reconstitute Busy Bee and leave the distillery action in play ?

My understanding is they turned into a private event space while they reevaluate their presence there. I think I posted here about it awhile back.

There’s also Raleigh Rum Company that is doing just production, no tasting room anymore, in Dock 1053. And Durham has Krupnikas and Durham Distillery and Liberty & Plenty.

Durham Distillery actually bought Brothers Vilgalys (the guys who make krupnikas)

Interesting. Yeah it looks like Raleigh Rum Company has moved out of there.

Ah yes, I remember hearing about that.

Apparently the Channel House apartments in North Hills are getting a restaurant next spring. Quite the long time to wait, but don’t worry: despite being ground floor retail, they promise to be an elevated, everyday place.

I know we complain about the Sunday morning crowd parking in the bike lanes and the No Parking zones but then with them, you get this. At least they are spending.

Those trees are getting big and fast, it looks like we need to make this the new standard for tree beds. If that wasn’t already done.

Does Boston-styled pizza exist? I used to love Wildflour Boston Pizza in Stonehenge back in the day, and kinda of assumed it was like NY and Chicago with its own fanbase. But no one ever talks about it, so now I’m wondering if they just conned us provincial Southerners. The block of mozzarella was the standout at any rate. Still the best I’ve ever had.

St. Louis has its own style of pizza. I didn’t care much for it put locals loved it. Uses provel cheese.

But the astroturfers on Reddit tell me downtown is dead! :exploding_head:
