DGX is supposedly doing away with some items that are commonly stolen. This includes a large section of the candy aisle and single-can alcohol.

Additionally, Daijobu (the new Ramen sport) is soft opening today.

Diced is also looking good.

I like the color palette, decor as well as the planter boxes outside the front door. This should be a very good addition to downtown and I think it will do well.

Oh good I was hoping we’d get another vague faux-neon sign/fake plants/uncomfortable wood seating place in Raleigh. We don’t have enough of this aesthetic here!!!

Hey those wood seats serve a purpose - turn the tables and get more diners in and out.

would love more neon around town though, and continuation of the exterior lighting trend on the new buildings that seems to have caught on here

Very excited about this one. Plus, we have three other establishments opening across the street from it: Insomnia Cookies, Diced, Primo Hoagies. That area of Fayetteville Street is coming alive! Hopefully this is the start of a renaissance of sorts.

That is great news for that block!

I miss the Dillo. I almost drove to Carrboro to the other location.

The name Vice sounds like a bar/club. Was really hoping we’re getting a new food concept. But it’s likely another bar littered with fake ivy, cheap Wayfair furniture, and LED lights unfortunately. Rinse & repeat all along Glenwood. The 2-3 Glenwood bar owners have a chokehold on this street. It’s a shame cause Glenwood could desperately use some more food options, mixed in with the bars we already have.

When I see Vice as the name, that’s exactly what I think too. It’s just what Glenwood needs.

At least it’s not called Teets or WTFever the name of that one place is.

That name actually has a real story. “Teets” was a mobster…grabdfather of 2 Canes players
