The gradual evolution of Tonbo has been a strange thing to witness.

Yeah not for nothing, but I don’t think it was the name and cuisine that was hurting their business…

Their ramen flat out sucked. It was the cuisine.

Looks like an entertainment facility called “Golf Golf Golf” is opening up on the New Bern Ave corridor. Seems they’ll have virtual driving bays, alcohol and a lounge. Opening Dec 2nd.

This building, last door on the end, for reference. I think the front half is a hair salon.

It’s being opened by Sam Ratto (the owner of Videri). Looking forward to checking this out!

Drove past Otomi this morning, and noticed a sign on the door that says “Restaurant for Sale”.

I was surprised that it wasn’t lease/rent/available, but for sale.

Hunky Dory had their soft re-opening in their new Iron Works space today. They’ll be open Friday for Record Store Day.

Yep, the front half is the new “Salon Duex,” the spin-off of downtown’s Alter Ego Salon.

Saw that Oma’s Cafe & Wine Bar just opened underneath the Residence Inn downtown. Walked by the other day and saw them doing a final clean-up. Their social media says they’re now open.

Think there’s still another retail down on the other side of the building that’s still available.

Good to see. I’ve always thought that there’s a need for more places immediately adjacent to Marietta Center if you want to grab a quick bite and run to your show in time.
