Lol I just read that and came here to share. You beat me to it!
The real question is for how long will this stay open?

I think Blue Martini used to have a half off wine night in the 2008 range or so and it was very popular.

Sounds like the owner has future plans for the space, though.
Is that future plans for the space, or just future plans? I was with the understanding they weren’t returning to The Depot space.
I understand they are headed to north Raleigh.
Well, Jibarra did start in NoRa before the move down to the Depot ( before the flip into J +S)…
At least folks have still got Cortez in the GlenSo ’ hood. That place is
I don’t know if anyone has seen, but Five Star is opening tomorrow for curbside pickup or delivery. Hopefully the dining room will be open soon. Excited to see inside their new location.
When did you morph from a pig to a penguin
?
I think Pig and Penguin are in love
That’s not me… Lol
Oh. Now the guessing begins.
Now that’s some funny stuff!
Reminds me: @Francisco and I forget who else had recommended Cha House boba tea - I enjoyed my drink but IMO it still pales in comparison to Budacai boba! You must try them next and let me know what you think! I will say the Cha House porkchop plate is what would bring me back, for sure. Delicious!
High Horse permanently closed. 50 employees out of a job. Downtown dealt another blow.
Really?! I’m shocked…that guy moved here and put all that money into it. Why not just open at half capacity for a couple months and keep going?
Read the article. His investment partner wants out. Said they lost $500,000 in gross revenues since March and with no real opening in the near future…prospects are dim. 50% capacity doesn’t work real well for high end places. 2% margins on food ain’t going to cut it. They need to sell alcohol and lots of it to make it viable.
That’s a bummer but hey, what the hell do you expect being locked down, can’t pay the rent and half opening will put you in even further bankruptcy.
Yup. 50% capacity with the riots that followed, death blow.
