I thought this was already a thing, most (if not all) new developments in DTR typically widen the sidewalks on their land. And w/ this project being on Glenwood South, widening the sidewalk here is a no-brainer IMO. Either way, glad to see it happening.
Approve on the condition that the get going already
They should do it all the way down to Tucker
Why stop there? Eliminate all parking on Glenwood from Peace to Morgan and just add some transit and ride share drop-off points.
Amen. The sidewalks on Glenwood are absurdly narrow for a nightlife district and the street parking barely makes a drop in the ocean related to the need.
They got their ASR approval, but they are now trying to get the actual site permits.
I second this. characters
Do we have pictures of this project happening
Idk⦠have they started yet?
Thatās what Iām hoping to see a crane
Well if they broke ground can we see photo to verify
No movement on this site yet though the tiki bar did close down from what I hear.
So thatās mean we start seeing a movement anytime soon
Getting nervous about this oneā¦ā¦ need some info.
They are still trying to get their site permit approved. They have been through 5 review cycles. Maybe the sixth one will be the charm.
Do they need some help? Lol maybe crowd source their application with people on this forum.
They keep resubmitting without fully addressing the review comments. I donāt know why. It seems counter productive.
Something else I hadnāt noticed in the June update⦠the parking deck East elevation facing the railroad and Smoky Hollow changed from solid precast concrete to the same metal mesh with diagonal accents.
Improvement Iād say.
More lipstick on a big ass pig, but certainly better than no lipstick on just one side of the otherwise well lipsticked pig!
Thereās been some work going on Tucker St. the last few days. Looks like theyāve created a giant hole to lay some conduit? Do we think this is some prelim work for The Creamery project?
