Anyone know the official route for this strollway between Chavis and Dix? I know they did a test down Lenoir last year.
I’m not sure of the specifics, but I like the underlying idea. Connecting the parks for bike and pedestrian usage is a great idea. We did the strollway last year.
I’ll be curious to see the exact path that this will take. Chavis is a nice park that doesn’t get the same use or notoriety as Pullen (or Dix).
It’s kinda got to be Lenoir right, since South used to be sharrows but now is only eastbound at that end?
It will be spent on studies.
Sadly you’re probably not wrong.
They already had the real life example of it last year. So this should advance directly to design.
me wishing there was an emoji of holding one’s breath…
OK, I can’t resist. How long did the construction take?
He has no idea, that’s why he told us not to ask him. Now you’re gonna make him feel like a fool!!!
Yea, you got me. I live down the street and pass by here at least twice a day.
Let’s just say it took probably 6 months longer than it should have.
Where is @Boltman to explain sarcasm???
You forgot to use that special sarcasm font
The internet as a whole really needs to agree on a sarcasm font atp. Way too many smart asses online nowadays
At least we don’t have many in the DTR Community forum.
You forgot the sarcasm font
3 posts were split to a new topic: Chavis Memorial Park
Speaking of Chavis, finally took our 1yo son to try the splash pad, and it’s such a nice park! Looking forward to being terrified as he climbs into a rope mesh 10 ft in the air someday.
I’m sure Dix is going to be great, and we live near Roberts which is also nice to have, but Chavis seems like a great spot. I’m glad they put the effort into it, makes me happy to live downtown.
Is there a new thread for Chavis park? I couldn’t find one, but if there is feel free to merge this.
Does anyone know more details about this aquatic center? Is it a new public outdoor pool/lazy river? Or is it like Pullen Park with a big indoor facility?
